Dear Parents and students,
We are happy to announce that Kembangan CC and Tampines North CC has confirmed that we are able to commence our ballet lessons from 30th June. Changi Simei CC has given confirmation for all classes to resume on 29th June (Monday) onwards.
We will be sending private text message to parents/students from Kembangan CC and Tampines North CC regarding start dates and timings as some adjustments have been made in order to comply to the directives from PA HQ.
Please take a few moments to read the following house rules with regards to returning to our studio for the safety and well being of your child.
General Information
1. Our ballet class size will be kept at maximum 10 students. (excluding teacher & assistants) Some classes may have lesser students. For Changi Simei CC as we are using the sports hall, it is able to accommodate up to 25 students and they will be grouped in groups of 5 to comply with the safety measures guidelines.
2. The students will be grouped in two groups of 5. Each group will take turns to perform the exercises while the other group will be guided to wait at the marked space whereby each student is at least 2m away from each other.
3. I'm sure the children are excited to see their friends but interactions between the groups and within the group will be kept to a minimal level. This is to ensure the safety of all our students and teachers.
Arriving at the studio
* As the CC has a strict maximum load of visitors, parents are advised to stay at the foyer (1st level) and allow their child to make their way to our studio independently. Ms Blue will have assistants to chaperone the children during the start and end of classes.
* Likewise for dismissal, please wait at the foyer and we will bring the children to 1st level and release them accordingly. If you are late to pickup your child, please look for him/her at the general office.
* Students will use the front door as entrance and the back door for exit only. This is to minimise contact between students in different classes.
* Temperature taking and hand sanitising will be carried out before the students enter our studio. Anyone with 37.5 degrees and above will be asked to return home. Please ensure your child is well before attending our classes. If your child has cough, running nose or fever, please do not send him/her for classes and allow him/her to rest at home.
* Face masks are to worn at all times during class. Do pack an extra mask for your child just in case the current one is soiled or faulty. When performing jumps and leaps, Ms Blue will ensure the children receive ample time to rest and cool down before the next exercise.
* Teachers and assistants will wear masks during our classes at all times.
Inside the studio
* Markers will be placed on the floor for personal belongings to prevent cross contamination.
* Social distancing will be maintained at the barre and within the studio.
* Classes will end 5mins prior to coordinate the transition to the next class and allow some time for sanitising of the barre.
* Partnering work will be avoided to discourage physical contact.
* Teachers will maintain minimal physical contact with students while teaching. However when necessary, teachers may need to make physical corrections which will be done carefully to avoid contact with hands and face of the students.
Other notes
* Where possible, windows will be opened for ventilation.
* We advise parents to bring their child for toilet break before commencement of class to avoid missing out on valuable class time.
* Please try to be punctual for class and for dismissal time.
* If your child is not attending class for the day, please drop a msg to inform ms blue as the number of students in the class is essential for us to better facilitate the class management.
Final notes
* Ms Blue and her team of assistants have been planning for the commencement of our classes with the safety and well being of our students as top priority. Hence, please be prepared to make some minor adjustments with regards to class time for your child. In any case, please feel free to text ms blue for assistance. Let's all work together to create a safe learning environment for our students.
* Our Ballet Exams will still go on with filming option. The academy (RAD) understands we need time to build up momentum for the students so currently there is no expected final dates given to submit our videos for marking. The decision for filming was made due to the inability to fly examiners into Singapore for exam sessions. Tentatively, Ms Blue would like to have 2months for students to build up and prepare before we plan for the exams to be filmed.
* Parents will not be expected to pay extra coaching class fees for the upcoming classes leading to the exams. The progression of the students towards the exams is our commitment to them. Regular class fees applies but no additional coaching fees will be incurred by parents should Ms Blue initiate the extra coaching classes.
* If you do not receive any msg from Ms Blue by 23rd June 10pm with regards to your child's class timings, please contact Ms Blue.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon! Stay safe!
